FuEl
what does it mean? is it gd? once in a while, it will come out to the surface of the clam I doubt its parasitic. Well evolved organisms try to maximise the use of their host without killing it in the end. The shrimp most likely would be using the clam for shelter. Should'nt harm the clam much. The shrimp might actually keep debri off the mantles, defend it against pyramid snails, etc. Housekeeping in exchange for shelter. SRC Member Cookiemunster Posted June 23, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted June 23, 2004 I have seen them in my Squamosa too. They dun seem to harm it and instead can help to remove any debri trapped inside. These are symbiotic shrimps so theres no harm. You only need to panic when you see chunks of clam flesh missing every day. hahaha Quote My Humble 4ft tank
