Anyone has any experience with Neon Dottyback?

Hi, i am just wondering whether the Neon Dottyback does eat shrimp, eg: cleaner shrimp? This fish really catch my attention but i can't forgo the cleaner as they are really helpful in keeping my tang's white spot in check..

How big is your cleaner... IMO a neon would be rather safe with cleaner.... Tiny ornamental shrimp like ###### anemone shrimp may be attack... Then again, this fish is too small to cause much harm

Don't worry, I got 1 already 3" now and he is very timid and shy. Don't even bother my CS, Blood red shrimp and Harlequin shrimp.

like to ride on this thread. I got a pink dottyback and when i put it together with my shrimps, it start to attack them. One jump out of the tank but managed to spot the poor fellow early...thought it would not live but came back to live after awhile. The other poor shrimp lost a leg.

i hv a 3" neon dottyback. like wht DA said, it will attack tiny ornamental shrimps. but it is ok wif blood shrimps and peppermint shrimps...... as long as they r not 2 small.

I used to have flash-back gramma (belonging to dottyback family) which flung my Hawaiian hermit crabs and killed them. Now, the gramma is no longer around.
