PVC Connects for overflow box

Need advise if the below connector is good enough. The thread seems a bit too short for comfort for my 10mm glass tank....

My previous tank was using this. Its has a much longer thread and has two screww rings that you secure onto both sides of the glass. But I can't seem to find this. Anyone know where I can get this instead?

That is called tank adaptor/bulkhead. Try hai cheong.

I used the same type in ur 1st pic for my overflow pipes, it is 25mm size and works alright. Just use white tape to go around the threads and tighten.

think most ppl using the lst one too...........

if u worry ter is not enough thread contact try to use pvc glue to join up ........

it will give a real solid joint.......

btw i am using it too for my 10mm glass......

never use pvc glue but use alor of silicon to seal up while screwing up .....!

Thanks for the replies. Just saw my brother's 3 feet also using the set in the first pic. Will ask my tank maker to use lots of silicon! Am doing a 4x2x2 with 3 feet sump (1 feet for freshwater top up).
