Clown Trigger in FOWLR

Recommended Posts

I love this fish but a bit hesitant to consider it in my next FOWLR due to its aggression. My planned livestock for the FOWLR includes angels (big and pygmies), tangs, frogfishes, mandarins, blennies, shrimps, starfishes, etc.

Do you think the Clown Trigger will be a 'mass-murderer' in this set-up? Would juvenile ones 'grow' to be less aggressive in captivity?

The clown trigger will definitely, as chucky pointed out, polish off your shrimps before the first 24hrs have elapsed.

I'm also worried that your smaller fishes won't last very long if put together with your frogfishes.. and even if they do manage to survive, you'll have a hard time ensuring everyone gets his fair share of food.

Good point cornyfish! Think frogfishes are best kept in a specimen tank yeah.
