i have a pair of true clown, but without any anemone or coral. ystd i found that my male clown isnt sleeping unlike other fishes but swiming in a corner. can i know which coral will house the clown pair? i have chiller, cr and t5. thanks

hi there w3ish3ng,

if youd like to get an anemone for your clownfish to host in, youll need to have good adequate lightings to meet the photosynthetic needs of the anemone. likewise, youd need decent lights for most of the corals that clowns have been known to host in, like the euphyllia family (frogspawn, hammers, etc). id recommend you try sarcophyton leather/toadstool corals. they are hardy, and generally easy to keep.

you're probably too anxious. don't worry about the clown. give it time.

from the dimensions of your lightings, i guess yours is a 3 feet tank.

since your clown is not too big, if it is still your intent to get a anemone, just try a normal green anemone which costs about $5 max. the size should be small, as it will grow/expand/stretch given the right environment.

cuz it kind of pain my heart to see my female clown sleeping while my male clown did not swim, i would rather get a coral for it to sleep as anemone kind of die easily.

was even more sad to say that both my clown is not aslp. will be getting a coral or a anemone later today to host the clown pair.
