Tentacles No More?

for the past 3 days, my tube anemone's tentacles has gone shorter and shorter.

At the present moment, I can say all of them are gone. is it a dying syndrome?

My tube anemone has been with us for the past 6mths. Its the longest residence in our tank. I dont wanna lose it.

what can I do to help?

Try to feed fine piece market prawn meat to it. My tube anemone has grown bigger and it has been with me for 7 months. I just did a search via internet. Someone claim that the tube anemone has a life span of 30 years.

do u need to cut it to small pieces for it to eat? for mine, it swallow the prawn and then 'vomit' it out. i cut it to thumb size, not sure if it is too big.

Maybe thumb size is too big for your tube anemones to digest. I cut the prawn meat into green bean size then feed them. They will use their tentacles to capture the meat and feed into their mouth.

hmm...I dont think its the lack of food that has caused their tentacles to either shrink or gone because I do feed them with live or frozen prawn meat.

My fishes, tube worms all looking gd accept the tube anemone.

Does anyone here know why?
