SRC Member oceanloverm Posted May 17, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted May 17, 2007 Greeting all reefers, i need some help on searching something for my chiller. Where can i find the thermostat's temp sensor metal thingy? I need to find a new one to change the rusty one which i have now. Anyone knows where i can find it? Or it's ok to let it rusty? Will post up the pic tonight if possible.

SRC Member oceanloverm Posted May 17, 2007 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 17, 2007 Actually i want to change the temp detector part ( Sensor part ) which we put it inside the water to see what is the temp of the water. The thing looks like a chopstick but not that long, made from metal or something like that, now it's rusty, so i'm thinking of changing it. It's impossible to ask a service guy to come all the way to your place and change a small tiny thing right? But thanks for your advice Bro RX_GAN

SRC Member Thexder Posted May 18, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted May 18, 2007 Thermostats will get rusty if placed in saltwater for long time. I think even if you get a new one, it will still rust after a while. As long as its working, you don't have to replace it.
