I just added in a Flame Angel and straight away my coral beauty bully him until it scare and hide into the rocks.

The bully then chase him until I can't find him anymore.

I asked the shop and he says that the two species can mix but I never expect such aggression. I saw my yellow tang display a less threathening tone to the flame angel.

What should I do ?

if this is the case, u might want to consider giving up either one... actually, dwarf angels will attack other angels that are of the same size, color or shape.. while u still have the chance of saving the flame, u better do so.. if not, it will soon be bye bye.. coz the territorial one will be on a relentless pursuit of the flame.

Let us work together to preserve the world for our children to inherit by being responsible to our surroundings. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, bubbles and memories.

All fish need space. They need their own territories. Your coral beauty might have already claimed the whole tank for itself. Thus the aggression displayed to the new comer.. If you had a 4ft tank or larger, definitely this could be avoided as there is less competition for territory and food resources.

Always something more important than fish.

Someone in this club mentioned something about using a mirror to distract the territorial fish away from new introductions..maybe you can try hanging a mirror for your fish to admire itself. ;)
