Likes to eat sponges. Needs places to hide. Doesn’t get along with other conspecifics.Full size angels should not be mixed with other full size angels, unless it is in a tank of at least 180 gallons.
Maximum Size: the Pomacanthus zonipectus grows up to 18 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Cortez Angel prefers a tank of at least 100 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Pomacanthus zonipectus is a omnivore and likes to eat Omnivore, picking at sessile Invertebrates, and various Micro Algae.
Level of Care: The Cortez Angel is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Cortez Angel may act semi-aggressively toward other fish.
Hardiness: This is a fairly hardy fish.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).
