Midnight Angel
Centropyge nox |
Centropyge nox (Bleeker 1853), the Midnight or Black Pygmy Angel is as its name implies overall black. Can get along with other Pygmy Angels providing they share a tank of at least 75 Gallons or more, due to territorial nature. A very shy and secretive species the Midnight Angel being jet black is still a very interesting specimen. The Midnight Angel likes to have more hiding places for shelter; otherwise it will not readily adapt to captivity. Can be kept in either a community tank or in Reef tanks so long as caution is noted with Tridacnid species of Clams, and possibly Scallops. Might possibly nip at LPS/SPS Coral Polyps as well. |
