Maximum Size: the Serranus tortugarum grows up to 3 inches. Minimum Tank Size: The Chalk Basslet prefers a tank of at least 20 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim. Diet: The Serranus tortugarum is a planktivore and likes to eat mysid shrimp, and other fresh or frozen seafoods.. Level of Care: The Chalk Basslet is a low maintenance fish. Behavior: The Chalk Basslet may act peacefully toward other fish. Hardiness: This is a hardy fish. Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78° F). Range: Caribbean. |
