Bluefin Damsel
Paraglyphidodon melas
Very hardy fish with a great personality. Best kept with other damsels or by itself. These fish are aggressive and territorial and can harass fish many times it’s size. It is not suitable for a peaceful community tank.
Maximum Size: the Paraglyphidodon melas grows up to 4 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Bluefin Damsel prefers a tank of at least 30 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Paraglyphidodon melas is a omnivore and likes to eat variety of foods (meats & veggies).
Level of Care: The Bluefin Damsel is a low maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Bluefin Damsel may act aggressively toward other fish.
Hardiness: This is a hardy fish.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).
