Orange Diamond Goby
Valenciennea puellaris
Gobies may sometimes attempt jump out. Needs places to burrow. Prefer presence of substrate. Known to be one of the watchman family that will share it’s burrow with a pistol shrimp.
Maximum Size: the Valenciennea puellaris grows up to 6 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Orange Diamond Goby prefers a tank of at least 60 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Valenciennea puellaris is a carnivore and likes to eat brine & mysid shrimp and other meaty treats (a few times/day).
Level of Care: The Orange Diamond Goby is a low maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Orange Diamond Goby may act peacefully toward other fish.
Hardiness: This is a hardy fish.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).
Range: Sri Lanka.
Breeding: Able to breed.
