Pseudochromis flavivertix, the Sunrise Dottyback. Yet another pseudochromid out of the Red Sea (and Gulf of Aden to the south). One of the more peaceful of the Psuedochromis, this fish is known for eating ornamental shrimp and other invertebrates including small mantis shrimps and fireworms. |
Maximum Size: the Pseudochromis flavivertex grows up to 3 inches. Minimum Tank Size: The Flavivertex Pseudochromis prefers a tank of at least 10 gallons with plenty of places to hide & Diet: The Pseudochromis flavivertex is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of meat treats, Mysis Shrimp, prepared foods. Level of Care: The Flavivertex Pseudochromis is a low maintenance fish. Behavior: The Flavivertex Pseudochromis may act semi-aggressively toward other fish. Hardiness: This is a hardy fish. Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F). Range: the Red Sea. |
