Pseudochromis diadema, Lubbock & Randall 1978, the Diadem Dottyback. One of the first Dottyback species to be kept. This fish is not easily intimidated by other fish and will defend it’s territory against fish many times it’s size. Not a suitable fish for a peaceful tank community. |
Maximum Size: the Pseudochromis diadema grows up to 3 inches. Minimum Tank Size: The Diadema / Purple Stripe Pseudochromis prefers a tank of at least 10 gallons with plenty of place Diet: The Pseudochromis diadema is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of meat treats, Mysis Shrimp, prepared foods. Level of Care: The Diadema / Purple Stripe Pseudochromis is a low maintenance fish. Behavior: The Diadema / Purple Stripe Pseudochromis may act aggressively toward other fish. Hardiness: This is a hardy fish. Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F). Range: Indo-Pacific. |
