Centropyge eibli, Klausewitz 1963, Eibl’s Dwarf Angel, is an excellent aquarium species. Closely related to Centropyge vroliki. Able to get along with other Pygmy Angels in a tank of at least 75 Gallons or more, due to territoriality. A nice addition to the Aquarium, the Eibli Angel is a truly beautiful fish, and really should be kept more in a Reef type setting. One of the more shy species of Centropyge, the Eibli is closely related to the Half Black Angel, and the two species have been known to Hybridize with each other. |
Maximum Size: the Centropyge eibli grows up to 6 inches. Minimum Tank Size: The Eibli Angel prefers a tank of at least 30 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim. Diet: The Centropyge eibli is a omnivore and likes to eat marine algae, mysid shrimp, Spirulina, and other meaty treats. Level of Care: The Eibli Angel is a medium maintenance fish. Behavior: The Eibli Angel may act semi-aggressively toward other fish. Hardiness: This is a fairly hardy fish. Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F). |
