Pseudochromis fridmani

Pseudochromis fridmani, Klausewitz 1968, the Orchid Dottyback. One of the lesser aggressive of the Pseudochromis, the Fridmani Psuedochromis will chase small fish if they invade it’s hiding place. The vivid purple/blue coloration makes them a very desired choice for a reef aquarim. May harass peaceful or shy fish many times it’s size. This fish will prey on small mantis shrimp and bristleworms. If more than one is to be added to a tank, they should be added at the same time.

Maximum Size: the Pseudochromis fridmani grows up to 3 inches.

Minimum Tank Size: The Fridmani Pseudochromis prefers a tank of at least 10 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swi

Diet: The Pseudochromis fridmani is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of meat treats, Mysis Shrimp, prepared foods.

Level of Care: The Fridmani Pseudochromis is a low maintenance fish.

Behavior: The Fridmani Pseudochromis may act peacefully toward other fish.

Hardiness: This is a hardy fish.

Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).

Range: the Red Sea.
