Pseudochromis fridmani, Klausewitz 1968, the Orchid Dottyback. One of the lesser aggressive of the Pseudochromis, the Fridmani Psuedochromis will chase small fish if they invade it’s hiding place. The vivid purple/blue coloration makes them a very desired choice for a reef aquarim. May harass peaceful or shy fish many times it’s size. This fish will prey on small mantis shrimp and bristleworms. If more than one is to be added to a tank, they should be added at the same time. |
