Green Wrasse
Halichoeres chloropterus
Halichoeres chloropterus also known as the Pastel-green wrasse. An excellent addition though often ships rough. May pick on flasher and smaller fairy wrasses when fully grown. Can be kept in schools. Requires fine substrate to sleep in. Reportedly eats fireworms, pyramillid snails, and flatworms. This active water column swimmer is well known for jumping from tanks without any kind of covering.
Maximum Size: the Halichoeres chloropterus grows up to 8 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Green Wrasse prefers a tank of at least 60 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Halichoeres chloropterus is a carnivore and likes to eat Variety of meaty treats including frozen mysis, saltwater feeder shrimp, squid, scallop clam and other crustaceans..
Level of Care: The Green Wrasse is a medium maintenance fish.
