Minimum Tank Size: The Heniochus (Bannerfish) Butterfly prefers a tank of at least 80 gallons with plenty of places to Diet: The Chaetodon semilarvatus is a carnivore and likes to eat feeds primarily on benthic invertebrates, shrimp, and worms. In the aquarium, offer a variety of fresh and frozen foods including frozen Mysid shrimp, and other small food items.. Level of Care: The Heniochus (Bannerfish) Butterfly is a medium maintenance fish. Behavior: The Heniochus (Bannerfish) Butterfly may act peacefully toward other fish. Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78° F). Range: Red Sea, and East Africa. |
