Centropyge flavissima (Cuvier 1831), the True or just the Lemonpeel Dwarf Angel. Able to get along with other Pygmy Angels in a tank of at least 75 Gallons or more, due to territoriality. A beautiful fish, the Lemon Peel is a very popular fish with Aquarists due to its coloration, and adaptability. The Lemon Peel does very well with other Pygmy Angels, and have been kept in harem groups as well in Aquariums of at least 100 Gallons or more. |
Maximum Size: the Centropyge joculator grows up to 6 inches. Minimum Tank Size: The Lemonpeel Angel prefers a tank of at least 20 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim. Diet: The Centropyge joculator is a omnivore, picking at sessile invertebrates, and various micro algae and likes to eat marine algae, mysid shrimp, Spirulina, and other meaty treats. Level of Care: The Lemonpeel Angel is a medium-high maintenance fish. Behavior: The Lemonpeel Angel may act semi-aggressively toward other fish. Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F). Range: Fiji, throughout the South Pacific, east to Easter Island. Compatibility: It doesn’t get along with other dwarf angels. |
