Hoplolatilus purpureus
May jump out. Keep in covered tank. Needs places to burrow. Prefer presence of substrate. Often found in pairs. Mid water fish, needs a medium to large sized tank with plenty of swimming space.
Maximum Size: the Hoplolatilus purpureus grows up to 6 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Purple Tilefish Goby prefers a tank of at least 20 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Hoplolatilus purpureus is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of foods, especially Mysis Shrimp, worms, flakes.
Level of Care: The Purple Tilefish Goby is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Purple Tilefish Goby may act peacefully toward other fish.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).
Range: Indo-Pacific.
Breeding: Able to breed.
