  1. Hi everyone,

After a 10-year hiatus, I’m finally getting back into the hobby. I’ve followed many threads on this forum and I am encouraged by how helpful this community is. I’m also amazed at how things have changed over the years in terms of technology, expertise and even exotic tastes, e.g. I never knew what a Picasso clown was until recently.

  2. If u have not prepared to raise the larvae, sorry but u are already too late. Best opinion now is let the be nurtitious food for ur other tank members. Good news is they will probably lay eggs again in 2 weeks to a month time. Thus start preparing if u plan to rear them. There are lots of articles on how to rear them from legs to juvenile clown.

  3. Ur tank remind me of the episode in the fish tank program by natgeo where they redo this rich elderly couples lagoon with lots of fishes where they go swimming and snorkeling. Can't wait to see ur version!

  4. Possibly but I believe failure rate can be prevented with a better build pump else maybe a variable speed pump like those use in fountain. However, I'm still exploring other methods thus open to any suggestions.

    Cheers

  5. I've some idea but still figuring out what are the options available that have been tested. One basic idea is to have 2 level of overflows and 2 returns. One at a faster rate than the other and when the cycle happen, the faster flow rate pump will be shut down.

  6. Hi All,

Has anyone of you ever thought to setting up a intertidal type of design with your aquarium tank? Something like Simon Garrett's Reef tank where the water level goes down during certain cycle. Anyone have experience on this type of setup?

Thinking of how I can convert my 5.5ft tank. Any ideas or advice will be most appreciated.

    Cheers

  9. Impossible cos Claire is extremely rare and Singapore will be one of the last countries to see it, if got a chance.

We have been too used to the price stucture in singapore that does not need to go through another layer of wholesaler. Sadly, most of these rare fishes will be snapped up by wholesaler worldwide once they enter the market. Unless SG reefers can accept these difference (price), it virtually no possible to see these rare fishes.
