  1. Hmmm. I see. But I noticed that the tang will always swim close to the shrimp and the shrimp seems like plucking the ich out. I maybe wrong.
  2. I've tried powder brown tang. I noticed that cleaner shrimp will help to remove ich. However, once the shrimp went into molt, the tang survived less than 4 days. Best will to have more cleaner shrimp.
  3. Wire mesh will be corroded. Is the Venturi inlet from the pump blocked?
  4. You should be able to get from madpetz @ Sin Ming. Unlike wavemaker, the flow is gentle.
  5. Tank fully purple up after 3 months. Now, will have to get scrapper to clean glass.
  6. Amazing to see tangs living together without fighting.
  7. For favia coral, they required direct feeding.
  8. Saw this slug at night after lights off. Need help to ID this slug. Is it reefsafe? Nudi??
  9. Bro CFOh is right. Try the site. It's good. Get the facing direction right first.
  10. 1.2 inches is about 1-1/4 inches. Best if you can bring in the pump to match the fittings.
  11. Saw from mainland farm at pasir ris with lots of connector and reducer. You may want to bring your pump down and test out the fittings. Note that most pumps will be BSP connection instead of NPT.
  12. Get a skimmer. To be effective, It's better to over size the skimmer, as sooner you will start to fill your tank with more corals and fishes. If you don't have a chiller, under hot weather with temperature ranging above 30 degree Celsius, some corals may start dying and fouling may occur again.
  13. Once you aerated the main tank with rain bar, your main tank becomes the skimmer. There will be fouling. Protein are attracted to air bubbles hence forming occurred.
  14. I think yellow tang is entry level. Try again and get a bigger size of at least 3". They will be more resistant to diseases and parasite infection. Try to quarantine the fishes before adding to the main tank as the wave is usually strong making them difficult in getting food. In strong current, the moment they see the food, it's behind them. Healthy and strong fishes will dash for food.
  15. Any luck on the crab?? Recently, just try out new method. High chance of getting it. Just tie a piece of market pawn on a piece of live rock. Place it near to the crab location. Once it's on the rock, quickly remove the whole rock.
  16. Sometimes, they are grazing on the micro algae growing on rocks. Give it more time. As long as your water parameters are okay, they should be okay.
  17. Impressive tank and fishes. Wouldn't the eels attack the fishes??
  18. Beautiful long fin idol. Nice.
