RODI issues

Hi all,

So yesterday I bought a 3 way valve to install my RODI unit under my sink.

Everything works, but the water coming out from my RODI unit is hot. I am unsure why because my water heaters are off and usually the piping is not hot.

I’ve suspected it to be high water pressure increasing the temperature of the water. I tried turning my shut off valve to 1/4 open, to decrease the pressure, but still warm water.

Any ideas? IMG_4428.JPGIMG_4428.JPG

I have warm tap water in a hot afternoon. Did you check and compare the temperature of other tap outlets? Also trace the heat source along the pipeline.

My tank setting:
Size : 48" x 24" x 24"
Return pump: 1 x Vectra S2, 1 x Eheim 1264
Skimmer: Skimz DC skimmer SV203
Lighting : Maxspect Razor R420R 160W
Chiller : 1hp drop coil compressor
Wave maker : 2 x Nero 5 , 1 x Tunze 6055

Top up : Tunze Osmolator Universal 3155

Bro. Using instant heater or storage? If storage heater, please connect rodi to inlet of storage heater and not outlet as hot water can be stored in the storage heater for quite a long time.
Another explanation can be that main storage tank above unit can be heated. You might have to flush out some water via main tap first before using rodi after water temperature cools off.
