  1. Nope, I dip the PH pen into the calibration fluid n adjust it to PH 7.0. Thatz all. I'm also using litmus paper.
  2. Yup, now three fishes in the 4ft tank. Water exchange - Using a Weipro 5000L/hr return pump Main tank - One big cave for the groupers n 5 inch deep sand bed Sump tank - Coral chips, bio ball, deep sand bed n biohome Will get 5 - 10kg of coral chips n put in the sump.
  3. PH currently is 6.9, measured with Digital PH pen bought from C328 quite some time back. Calibration PH 7.0 liquid bought from Petmart two mths ago. Litmus paper was an industrial brand one, its showing the same result also. Yes, the grouper is feeding well and cohabiting wif my black grouper happily. Have been feeding them market prawns daily. Its almost 1.5 weeks now, no problem at all. Groupers are hardy creatures and I have been keeping them since 3 yrs ago. Last weekend wanted to get Seachem Reef Buffer n dKH kit, instead got the Seachem Reef Builder. Really gotta kick myself in the butt for not reading the instructions properly. Reef Builder wont raise PH. Now I have a brand new Reef Builder. Will get the Reef Buffer when I'm free again.
  4. I measure the PH every nite when I reach home.
  5. Hi Guys, I changed 80% water last Sunday. I have been monitoring the PH and from monday till yesterday, the PH is maintaining at 6.8. Looks like water change actually decrease the PH instead!!! It dropped from previously 7.4 to 6.8 now. How to increase the PH now??? My grouper n clown survived the water change n r feeding normally. Bought a new grouper, white body wif three thick black band n yellow tail. It is beautiful. It is also feeding well.
  6. Got a tub of Coral Life salt yesterday, will do 80% water change over the weekend. I believe my grouper n maroon clown are hardy enough to take the new clean salt water.
  7. Hi, My salinity is 1.024, using coral life salt. Using PH pen and litmus paper to measure the PH. I am lazy to do water change so used baking soda to raise the PH. My KH test kit finished liao so unable to measure it. I guess the only solution now is to do water change. I was at Pasir Ris farm n wanted to buy 5 medium size blue tangs. To play safe, I measured my tank parameters b4 purchase. Looking for coral life salt, if anyone got spare pack, can sell to me.
  8. I would like to buy more fishes but afraid that my tank's low PH will kill any new fishes. More advises needed.........
  9. There is only a maroon clown n black garoupa in the 4ft tank. Yes, only 2 fishes. PH is still 7.4
  10. My tank has been running for a yr plus w/o water change. I add one bottle at a time but PH still no increase, I tot I cant keep adding so come here n sought advise from the bros here. Attached a pic of the baking soda n PH Up added so far............
