  1. You know what? I did just that about an hour ago. Originally wanted to dispose of the buttons but wifey says try to save the buttons. That's why I did this. But did it in my 1 footer tank with some old salt water. Most of the Nudis fell off with my vigorous dipping and shaking but some I had to manually remove them from the buttons and from my main tank! D@mn tedious manually removing them one by one from the main tank especially after a night out with the boys! Now most of the Nudis are in my 1 footer. There are still some in the main tank which I have to keep a lookout and remove them when I see them. FuEl, hope the Nudis survive in the old salt water long enough for you to collect them. By the way, if the original buyer backs out of your pair of pistol shrimps, I want them. I need some sand shifters urgently!
  2. Hi heman, Is it really safe to leave the buttons in the tank? They will start rotting and decomposing in your tank and cause an ammonia spike right? Hope I'm wrong so that I can leave them in the tank as well.
  3. Sure, FuEl. I'm in Pasir Ris and most evenings between 7-8+ I'll be in my parents' place for dinner. You have to let me know a couple of days in advance. But hurry, I need to remove them fast as I don't want the buttons to die in my tank and crash it! But don't look for me if the Nudis attack your other corals!!!! xiggie, let me know too.
  4. Thanks for all the replies. I think it would be a little difficult to spray just the rocks of buttons or manually removing the Nudis. I have some Nudis crawling on most of the other rocks without buttons too. In fact, I have Nudis on the tank glass as well! Guess I'll have to go AlfaRemeo's way of disposing the buttons and then starving the Nudis. xiggie, in the pic the Nudis may look nice. But they are actually brown colour not purplish. I think it's the "purple fringing" flaw found in most digital cameras and this pic was cropped from a much bigger photo thus magnifying the flaw. By the way, the Nudis are about 2-3mm only. If you still want them, let me know. Again, thanks for all the replies.
  5. Hi all, Just discovered all my 4 rocks of buttons are being attack by tons of Nudibranchs. The buttons are not opening for a couple of days already. Any expert advise on how to remove the pesky Nudis? Thanks in advance!
  6. My Yellow Goby can be a nuisance sometimes, he dumps the sand onto my softies! I read somewhere (can't remember which website) that good water circulation helps too in keeping the substrate clean. I have 2 Maxijet 1200. Are they good enough?
  7. Hey lightningstrike, thanks for the fast reply. I already have some snails, Hermit crabs, an orange starfish and a Yellow Goby but I still have a dirty looking substrate leh.
  8. Hi all. I've seen pics of tanks belonging to you guys and noticed that majority of the substrate is white or close to white colour. Mine is far from white. In fact, it looks kind of dirty....on second look, it looks d@mn dirty! It's an established tank....probably about 10-11 months old now. Any expert advice on how to keep or make(?!?) my substrate cleaner looking? Thanks in advance!
  9. Thanks for the input, guys. Will start hunting for my lightset tomorrow.
  10. Hi verrucosa, Thanks but I'm only interested in a 4ft exact fit lightset.
  11. Can a budget of around $170 get me an actinic lightset of 2 FL actinic tubes and a holder with e-ballast? Anyone? Thanks in advance.
  12. Read behind the box. You are suppose to divide the result by 4.4 to convert it to mg/l. Hope this helps.
  13. Or, is a 54w FL Actinic good enough to bring out the colours of my fishes and yumas in my 4ft tank? Anyone please?
  14. Hi all, I'm looking to buy a set of double tube actinic FL lights and holder for my 4ft tank. How much would such a setup costs and any shops to recommend? Thanks in advance.
  15. Ricordia also confirmed with you already hah? Hmmm....like that I think I didn't get anything liao.
  16. untouchables, seems like Ricordia is your friend. Can ask him any leftover for me from my list or not? Strange hor, seller sell things never come out and look see look see one.
  17. Funnie lah you...then you should know better why I said "I THINK" earlier mah.
  18. What if before I post my message here someone already sent a PM to Ricordia asking Ricordia to reserve that Blue Ricordea Florida for him. That's why I say "I THINK". Ricordia has to confirm, not me.
  19. I THINK it's taken by me already. :)
  20. Wah! This is confusing! Anyway, thanks for the update, guys! Ricordia, like I mentioned earlier, just let me know what's left from my list and I'll take them. Thanks in advance!
  21. Hi Ricordea, If you have more than 1 of each to sell, I am interested in the following items below. If not, just let me know what's left or available. 1) 1 X Orange Ricordea Yuma - $10 2) 1 X Copper Orange-tipped Ricordea Yuma - $10 3) 1 X Orange with Green-tinted Ricordea Yuma - $15 4) 1 X Ricordea Yuma (Luminous Lime green with purple center) - $10 5) 1 X Blue Ricordea Florida (the 50cents size one) - $30 6) 1 X Tri-color Ricordea Florida (Peachy orange with blue center) - $30 Cheers.
  22. My Hermits don't bother the snails at all. BUT some snails died and I caught the culprit one night. It was a crab that has been digging the snails out of their shells and eating them alive! It grabbed the snail shell with one claw and digged the snail out and ate them with the other!!! I've never seen the crab in the day before! He only came out when the lights are off. I have already taken him out and threw him back into Pasir Ris mangrove swamp. Hope he's happier there! Btw, there are other crabs in my tank and so far they seem quite ok. The culprit looked like a mud crab but only smaller.
