    If you are using a surface extractor..try not to let it suck in too much air..

    then the filter media arrangement in the canister..u try to pack it close and remove the air pockets in it..

    try filling up the canister completly with water then switch it back on..the bubbles will come out for awhile then stop..as suggested by the earlier post liao..

    and check the piping..is it bent in any areas?

    it should be a striaght line up and down..if u get my idea..

    dun bend the pipes...

    Need some advice on LR and PH

    Hi experts..

    I am getting a 5x2x2 tank in the near future..

    have several questions which I hope the experts in here could help me out..

    1) I plan to keep mostly LPS,clams and some SPS after my tank has matured. Do I need to get a Tunze for PH? or is there other alternative?

    2) Is it okie to put in most of the liverock at one go or to stagger them out in weeks?

    3) What filter media should I put in the sump? wool,polyfilter or ?

    Is this bioload okie?

    Hi..

    I had guessed that it might be a little heavy on the bioload..

    but these tangs look damn great...very hard to choose which ones to keep..

    by the way, tangs are okie with angels??

    Which tang should go in first and last??

    Yah..i will definitely keep SPS after i have experience with LPS..

    wun jump the gun..no money to tahan a crash...

    HI experts..

    I am thinking of setting up a 4x2x2 tank with sump and chiller..

    Plan to keep these fishes:

    Naso Tang

    Archilles tang

    Powder Blue Tang

    Yellow Tang

    Blue Tang

    Regal Angel

    Juvenile Emperor Angel

    And some small fishes like clown,goby and mandarin

    May I know which ones to add in first before the others?

    I know some are more aggressive and should be added later..

    lastly....

    I plan to keep SPS after 6 mths or so..

    would it be advisable to keep SPS since I got angels who tend to pick on them?

    Hi guys..

    i have 4 common clowns, 3 damsels ( blue body with yellow tail, Black and white striped and black with spots )

    Letting go all these for $4..

    Also...

    2 adult palm size rock with mushroom....brown with some green streaks..

    letting go at $10 each..

    and 2 small rocks with real tiny mushrooms at $4 each...

    Problem with Nitrate NO3

    HI experts...

    I have a problem with NO3 in my 2 feet tank..

    It is abt 2 mths old and is stocked with live rock,mushroom and leather..

    and some small fishes and shrimps..

    lazy to list all I have inside..

    My ammonia is 0 and nitrate is ard 0.3mg

    but my nitrate is very high...this is even after i change abt 20% water recently..

    any ideas to control the high nitrate level?

    my fishes and shrimps are eating well till date..

    and the corals are opening up everytime i on my humble Pl lights..
