  1. oh woah! hahaha...hmm. any pictures of your tank? and is your tank sump friendly? *or reef ready?* (=
  2. was your price inclusive of cabinet/sump? or are they available as a standard add on? hehz
  3. yes. I want to buy a 4ft tank. maybe a 4x2x2 with cabinet and sump. (= or any body with custom tank maker lobangs, please PM me! thank you really require any amount of assistance from you charitable people. (=
  4. care to share where you got yours done? thanks (=
  5. I understand how you feel. I'm also hunting around for a new four feet tank with cabinet and sump. and as usual, working on a horribly tight budget. want to go tank hunting together? maybe can get a better deal if we buy together or something (=
  6. WAH EH where your friend stay? care to ask him/her to SMS me at 97912405? me stay Bishan too. nyuk! (=
  7. what is an i-box? I'm like. completely retarded when it comes to such analogy. any pictures?
  8. is sump REALLY compulsory in marine tanks? whats the added advantage that sump filter can give over other filters? to my limited understanding, isn't it the same as those Eheim wet dry filters? kindly educate me please. thank you. and no I haven't started my marine tank yet. in the process of doing so, but if sump is really good/better/necessary, I will have to sell of my two feet tank to get a bigger one with inbuilt sump.
  9. if you invest a bit, you can get the Eheim surface skimmer for about less than $40 at Petm@rt (= and it doubles up as a suction intake for your filter as well. preferably used with Eheim, of course. not sure if it can be sucked into any other types of filter. so far it blends in quite well with my FW tank. hehz.
  10. your pH meter...a test pen of sorts? or one with the probe connected to a "computer" of sorts? (=
  11. hey can you post the program again? tried downloading it but its missing. thanks (=
  12. well urh. p@@m@rt *god knows why I'm typing like that. learning from you people. * anyways they're selling Eheim 2213 at $85. hehz. I bought three from them. changed the OHF for my freshwater tanks to Eheims now. no regrets absolutely. but not sure if they sell it that cheap now lah. the shop next door *you know. the colours of light as it goes through a prism? spectrum? another name when it occurs naturally? yeah. (=* they selling some Eheim filters at discounted rate. quite good if you ask me. but I still feel they are a bit expensive, even with discount. hope that helped. (=
  13. EVERY WEEK?! you mean the filter wool will become dirty that fast? but how come? I thought those things were made to last for up to two/three months?
  14. hmm. mind telling me why the need for so much maintenance for a canister filter? and why is it classified as a tank for nitrate breeding ground? looks like the physics of saltwater and freshwater are totally different, coz I don't read *either that or I haven't read. hehz* about canister filters becoming weapons of mass destruction for your fish tank.
  15. hmm but why is there a need to urh...maintain the canister filter so regularly? I thought filters were designed with ease of maintenance and all....and besides, I thought canister was made for "once in a two month maintenance." hmm. I may however, buy another type of canister filter for marine. a wet/dry type for aeration, but I heard that isn't totally necessary as you can adjust the water blast bar or something. is that true? lastly. filters with inbuilt temperature adjusters. good buy, or avoid like the plague? thanks! (=
  16. yah. for freshwater. hahaha. even this friend of mine claims that if I got a girlfriend, she'll probably be dead jealous over the way I pamper my fishes. hmm but overhead filters do create a bit of water turbulence, and from what I read, that is supposedly good for marine whereas freshwater is preferable to have a more still body of water. hmm. any advice? don't want to spend a bomb on getting wave makers and all.
  17. hmm how about canister filters like the Eheim types? are they effective or something? I bought one just today with the intention of using it for my freshwater fish *hahaha. pampering them* but come to think of it, I may just want to use it for my new marine setup.... so is it feasible or something? no harm done to the tank with canister filter right? or die die must get overhead stuff? hmm. help please. thanks (=
