  1. Help!...have problem fixing the resun chiller!.....

Can't fully tighten the cap...think it is obstructed by the rubber..try force it in but still cannot..water is leaking out from the gap.

    anybody experience this before?

Tried to change the cap but cannot still cannot solve the problem..any recommendation on this?

It looks like a sea slug if i am not wrong.

  2. Reeftask... Desi is my wife..

Zip and Zap is just our 2 yellowtail damselfish that zips around.. so just call that:P

Rocky is becos the shrimp is boxer shrimp la.. i very unimaginative 1... ketchup is becos the clownfish is tomato clownfish lor!

So if we add another tomato clownfish, prob will name it HEINZ or SINSIN!

    :P

  3. my method is fairly simple..

    1) use tap water thru my filter;

    2) add salt to the correct salinity

    3) Adjust ph by adding canned soda water...

Once PH and salinity is correct, add into tank then test for amonia, nitrate, nitrite, calcium etc and add in the various addictives to 'rebalance" the tank.

  4. Need some advise.. i have a 2ft tank and current i believe it's running on MH lighting (two tubes)..

Is it advisible to change to one MH and one actinic? The blue actinic is very pleasing and we would love to change it.

Currently have 1 tomato clownfish, 2 hawaiian damselfishs, 1 boxer shrimp, 1 anemone (BTA), 1 hard coral (cant rem the name) and 1 soft coral (zoos?).

  5. My yellow tang and blue tang just passed away.. lasted less than a week. About 5 days after we bought the tangs with the Tanks and LR etc.

The blue tang was down with white spot and the yellow tang, though only a few white spots, actually die 1st..

After so many questions and tests, we finally found out our PH meter is not properly caliberated and a bit off. It could be the reason that brought the white spot into surface i guess.

Gonna wait till it's stable then get another Tang i think..

Whats a good hardy tang that dont grow too big? I'm using a 2ft tank.
