  1. okay. thanks bros. making a trip down there this weekend to check it out. hope they still have.
  2. my fire shrimp is rarely seen in the open... only sticks out its feelers. i'd choose the skunk cleaner over it.
  3. is it recent? cuz i haven't seen any for ages.
  4. just discovered today that my 5-inch O.S had laid eggs. read somewhere that it's very hard to raise the young. is this true? anybody has experience?
  5. the snowflake is a moray. it's called a snowflake moray eel. scientific name echidna nebulosa.
  6. hi. just wanted to post a couple of pics of my moray eel feeding.
  7. i suggest you feed it those live freshwater crayfish. they are not too expensive, abt 2 bucks each, and only need to feed 1-2 times a week... the lions and the angler wont touch them either. in the wild, zebra morays survive mainly on hard-shelled crustaeceans, so this may be a good diet for captive ones.
  8. not to mention sand, live rock, corals and fish etc...
  9. green moray is it? eels are damn cool, and interesting to watch.
  10. eels can't see for nuts but they have good sense of smell.
  11. i don't really think snowflake eels are pure white... i have one myself. anyway, eels prefer live food, such as feeder fish/shrimp, though they can usually be weaned onto dead food like pieces of fish and prawn. mine even takes mysis.
  12. i feed those shrimps to my snowflake moray, but they always die before it can get them. to avoid fouling up the water, i have to handfeed the eel with the dead shrimp. does anyone know where to get small feeder crabs? perhaps they are a more pratical way of feeding carnivorous fish.
