  1. Thanks for sharing, guys! Finger-cross.... CHeers
  2. Hi all, I am currently planning to move my current "occupant" in my existing tank to a new tank at my new place. Can I use my existing water in the current tank to fill up my new tank(1/2 size smaller) or do I have to do the full cycling process? I understand that using my current live rock and sand will be the best, right? Thanks in advance for any advise. CHeers!
  3. thanks for all the replies. actually 2 of my Singapore Angel(almost 1 year with me liao) just became not so active and the next few days, they just started to flip and kaput . The rest just disappeared but ammonia level was 0, PO4 = 0, only thing is Nitrite was up to max 0.1. That is why I find it a bit strange as all my readings looks ok. Anyway, thanks again, folks and wishes all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...! CHeers!
  4. thanks for the fast reply, guys. i was thinking of increasing the PH(if due to lack of O2) as there has been 4 cases of dead fishes in 1 week 2 weeks ago. Anyone uses a Ozone generator? Thanks again. CHeers!
  5. Hi guys, can't seems to find any topics regarding PH level under search. My tank PH level is currently reading around 8.0, hardness is around 12 dKH, temp ard 226 to 27 deg. Other readings all good and using algae scrubber only. According to the LFS that I frequent, they said that it could be due to low oxygen level in tank. Will the introduction of O3 be any good or are there any better methods? Thanks! Happy Holidays!
  6. Thanks for all the replies, guys/gals! Will try looking for battery operated pump, any idea where to get them in the west side. Does Jireh have any of them? Thanks again and i hope for the best.....hehehe CHeers!
  7. Hi everyone, My place is having a regular switch box maintance and there will be no power supply for about 5 hours. Can the fishes and corals be able survive without pump? Thanks.
  8. Hi jourdy, I did a quick google and you are spot on. It's spirorbid worms Will read more about it, thanks a lot for your help. I will try to post some other questions with pics(if required) next time CHeers!
  9. Hi everyone, Recently there has been a lot of tiny white shell like stuff sticking on the glass and live rock surface. Is it harmful? Do I have to remove it? Thanks for the help and have a good weekend. CHeers!
  10. Hi guys, just wondering what type of fan do you use for cooling the temperature down(down by 1-2 degree C)? Is it the type sold in LFS or just the normal clip on type sold in eg. supermarket? Saw one in LFS but they said not suitable for marine due metal parts leh. CHeers!
  11. Thanks all for the reply. Will be putting it back in a few days time. CHeers!
  12. Hi big_ben102000, thanks for the info, any recommended way for cleaning? CHeers!
  13. Thanks for the fast reply, binosage. It has been out for around 6 weeks. Didn't really smell anything. Do I have to brush it or clean it before I put it back? The reason why I took it out was because I thought that the dead coralline algae(do i need to remove them?) is giving me red slime problem. So that means that I can just treat it like a normal dead rock, is it? Thanks again. Cheers!
  14. Hi everyone, I have a piece of live rock that was taken out of my tank and put in a pail of water(from tank as well). The pail has no powerhead in it. Can i just put the rock back in my tank now or do i need to "cook" the rock to make sure it is clean? Thanks.
  15. Hi all, I am planning to get a chiller for my 350Lts tank but the problem is that I can only place it in a cabinet. Will there be a major problem(eg. heat issue)? If I get a bigger capacity one, will it help? Thanks! CHeers!
