    Must be the haze... its all a matter of relativity. Since we are now used to lower viz on land, we can also see better in low viz conditions under water.

    they have a list of dive operator ratings and recommendations.

    err.. have you changed the fin strap before? Cos a certain batch have faulty fin strap..

    Conditions:

    1. Good condition and the fin strap not faulty

    2. Size is suitable (i'll go check on this one..)

    :blink: erm.. u guys saw the pic? how come i cant see frm here? anything wrong with my pC? or my eyes playing on me? :unsure: i had been there last yr.. took some pic also.. let me share with u a weird fish i saw there.. :ph34r: Tis weird fish is suppose have itz head showing up on the sand.. but we DUG it out! :P and left near the water..

    err... try not to do that next time oki??

    Other than stressing the fish, this is one of the most venomous/poisonous fish around.. and you really dont want to get stunk by it.. other than that, nicely taken pic..

    I suggest we close SRC and let all the members migrate to whichever local/overseas marine forum they like.

    Let 'them' have a taste of all the shit you have to endure all this while and see if they can still stick to their credo. :lol:

    We only need to close the pasar malam :lol: apart from issues arising from time to time - that's one of the cause of flames/arguments.

    I must say it is quite funny to read the quarrels. But the moderators here are so predictable that it takes a big part of the joy away. They will let you vent your frustrations a little. Then advice to take it out of thread and settle privately. Only when things get out of hand do they lock the thread indefinitely and give warning to the parties involved.

    i find it funny too but its suppose to be a forum, you can discuss anything - sometimes things get out of hand and there's no point going on in public (as it benefits no one else) & we stop it,but we only warn - we don't ban yet. :ph34r:

    What if i am involved and i refuse to leave things as it is and i start another thread flaming the other party?

    Then whoever spots it! locks it

    What if i use strong words and run down the moderators for interfering?

    Then whoever spots it! locks it

    What if i insist on getting support from my 'khakis' and slam the forum and everyone else who disagrees with me?

    Then whoever spots it! locks it - and delete/ban or issue warnings Gestapo style

    What if there is such a forum that condone my behavior because the forum is for disgruntled i.e unreasonable and unwelcomed SRC reefers like me :pinch:

    What if this forum is a special place for free thinking and spirited people that find it offensive to have their posts deleted or have threads they are interested in be stopped?

    There is a place called ice red, you may bitch about anything. but i think they lock posts & ban ppl too. There is always a limit.

    i dont think you understand what ckevin is saying..

    think i have to agree with him.

    Let SRC be the sharing of info site, and the "others" be all the flaming and crapping site..

    was reading thru the whole episode as it unfold.. and seriously, i burst out laughing.. No offense to acidjazz or whoever's involved.. but did anyone realise that the "so-called victim" has been dealing with an asshole all along?? and i mean literally!!

    hey clammy,

    i had that experience of having a remora being attached to me during one of my dives in Tioman.. it was quite fun until it starts to wonder ard and visit "south" and i got a bit uncomfortable... <_<

    ooh... was it looking for a feed?? :evil:

    hmmm.. have always heard of sotongs heading south (may i add involuntarily) but this is a first! :lol:

    actually, i think the sumei is only ridiculously priced and not THAT nice to eat lah..

    Alot of comparable quality eating fish around, and not that expensive and endangered.. :lol:

    am sure you being such a experience diver had a few close encounters with mama napoleans right? still bear to eat them meh? can hand feed them woh...

    this juvenile Su mei <napolean wrasse followed us for 1/2 the dive and actually allow us to stroke it!

    wonderful experience.. too bad i was totally immersed in the experience and didnt manage to get a good photo. the fish got too close for me to take a pic!! attached is a pic of my divemaster taking pic of it..

    errmmm... the row of fishing boats sank by the government at tioman lor.. viz clear meh?? tot its quite horrible.. good enuff to dive in, but pictures turn out damn bad with lots of backscatter..

    barnacle: we are the ones doing the safety stop lah! the turtle enjoying a feast of anemone in shallow waters..
