Hi,
Actually I am looking for 1 too & I have it in my ezbuy basket (waiting for CNY period over before they send over).
If u read carefully the taobao one is the same as the fish street 360 degree model. So base on the fish street description, it should have lunar cycle, light sensor to off/on the unit plus sensitivity level. However, not seen the manual so don't know how its gonna work or set it.
I am bad in Chinese too. Will be a steep learning curve for me too if too too complicated.

Yes, yellow wrasse.

Besides T95, where else have yellow and 6 line wrasse?

Yes if price is cheap and your tank has sufficient copepods for them to feed at night. I just hope my tank can cope. Trying to train them to feed on mysis.Absolutely amazed by the flashlight fish. Would be nice to have a whole school of them.- 2

I got cloudy eyes on flame on 2 occasions due to bad water perimeters, dead fish once & hi no3 the 2nd time. Didn't treat it as can't catch it & cannot add medi to my Mixed reef tank. So did a few water changes over 2-3 weeks before it recover back while feeding garlic soak food daily. Mine no white spot though. So long it is still feeding there's hope. Good luck

that part about the salt mix having higher ca mg and kh is the most probable i think, because red sea coral pro does have elevated levels of those.
i mean it would be kinda weird asking you to mix for only 4 hours, when the moment you add it in your tank its going to be mixing for much longer than 4 hours.
I suppose once it is into yr tank it is diluted. Don't forget u r changing approx 10% water only.
The consumption by the corals (especially sps) will lower ca,mg & kh levels so the longer it stays in yr tank the less concentrated it is.
So yr concern about more than 4hrs in yr tank is not an issue, the concentration levels will come down.
Another reason why changing water weekly is to replenish the trace elements besides nutrients export. Hence, there r some avocating that it is not necessary to dose trace elements if u do regular water change.

Hi,
Based on my personal experience, salt mix that are meant for sps tend to have higher ca, mg & kh. So leaving it for too long will cause precipitations. The water will turn chalky/cloudy. Happened to me twice, once was 24hrs & the other 48hrs. The 48hrs was very cloudy & my tank turned milky after water change.
The sensitive sps gave out white excretions but were ok after a few hrs. My flame & flameback angels were seen eating the white excretions.
Overall, nothing drastic happened as my water change is around 10%. However, I am not taking anymore chances, nowadays I don't premixed in advance for more than half a day.
Looking for Moonlight LED w/ lunar cycle
in Product Reviews
Posted
My moonlight has arrived few days ago from China. I have ordered the smallest set & cost about $30 including shipping & ezbuy shipping fee.
1st impression : reasonable quality with plastic cover for both LED & sensor unit, good enough for any occasional splashing. LED nothing special, think u can get it cheaply at SL.
Time to test it. The auto ON/OFF works. It has adjustable sensitivity level but I have not tested it (don't know how anyway as manual never state).
I placed the sensor sideway away from my G4 LED. This way when my G4 gets dimmer around 8pm, the moonlight will turn ON. So the trick as to when u want the moonlight to switch on is where (direction/distance) to place it from the main light source.
Below is photo of my G4 & the moonlight. U can see the moonlight is ON as the LED goes dimmer.
Directly shining from above, too bright for my liking :
Adjust it to face sideway. Much better. Btw my tank is 422 :
It has lunar cycle function BUT I am not sure if it does, just a few days into it & haven't seen the changes in intensity.
In the morning, it goes off around 8-9am depends on weather!! Could be later if your tank is in a dark environment. So the sensitivity setting may be useful if it works (never test it or dk how!!!).
For those interested to read the specs & Chinese as powderful as me, this moonlight is sold under Bubble Magnus brand in US & Europe. U can do a google search.
Hope this simple review helps.
Btw, some may ask why I don't use the G4 lunar cycle. I do but now I set it off at 12am. I don't want to overwork the G4 royal blue (impt spectrum for coral photosynthesis & u usually blast it during daytime). Afterall moonlight just for nocturnal activities, no need to use good LED.
