so far no big fishes...my 2 inch yellow tank is the biggest.. so far...no clicking sound. but my hermit crab and blood shrimp doing fine

my two 2inch cleaner shrimp died overnight. shells scattered all over the tank.. is it a Mantis shrimp.. but my fishes and hermit crab (0.75inch) still okay..

The sound make me wonder is my cabinet giving way..until my wife told me that she was a Mantis Shrimp hitting the tank..

what u mean stuck on the glass. so far...no mantis sightings after i removed the rock (suspected the mantis to be in) and also no "clicking" sound. so should be safe. right... heard from ppl that mantis shrimp do hide under the sand..

another rock may contain Mantis Shrimp.. i think getting dead rock better

Here what i did in for my previous aquascape. This is before i tear the tank down to get rid of the mantis

last time..i put all the rocks inside a pail of high salinity water..most of the things come out.. i think its safe...until the fateful days my wife spotted a "cute" little eyes. then i saw that 2 - 3 inch Mantis.... Nuke it

so far...with..the help of a ladder things is getting alright.. well the tank is a gift..so cannot be choosy.... me thinking of using the egg crate method then put the Tunze into the egg crate then partially conceal it with rocks

it look like the mantis in m tank. now...i don even know where is the mantis.. try to dry up the 3 big Life rocks.. currently..my tank have Tonga branches >> fine branches & 2 life rocks. So far no Mantis sightings in my tank. Going to re-introduce the "Dry UP" life/dead rocks into the tank on this fri and sunday to prevent any water chemistry from going bad

I will keep Mantis Shrimp only if...i have a spare tank...and .... cant think of other reason

or mayb a smaller model like Tunze Turbelle® stream 6000

thanks for the speedy reply. I am thinking of following ###### display tank concept of putting a Tunze onto the rocks and conceal it..btw..any idea how long the wire of the Tunze is? My tank specs 3 ft (length) 3ft (height) and 2.6 width.. 15mm thick but problem is Tunze Turbelle® stream 6060 too strong for this..

Saw a few design where the reefer actually put the PH among the rocks.. kind of conceal it...except the PH head protruding out. any comment for this design? Bad for maintenance? Me currently trying to re-aquascape..as there a mantis problem in my tank.. so take this opportunity to try out new concept. So far any reefers here try this without problem??

RESULT Unable to find the mantis shrimp. Believe the MS is hiding in 1 of the big rocks.. Action I put the rocks aside.without water .. need to say bye bye to my life rock....change it to dead rock liao When will the mantis shrimp die without water? 2 days

i saw a 2inch mantis shrimp. the tail seems to look like a eye. now i believe its hidding in one of the 3 rocks that i flush out. how to get rid of it ..alive or dead? can i introduce the rocks into the tank again..as i believe the rock will be "dead" as i wash it with fresh water.. comtemplating of using hot water as well

[bspotted a 2 inch mantis shrimp inside my tank manage to flash out few big rocks as i believe this bugger to be hidding in there. how to get it out
