I think you also may need a Surface skimmer as you are using external filter.
Good luck...

Are you planning for FOWLR?
Preciously I have the exact setup as you on FOWLR (2years plus) with no chiller/ Fan. (of cos not recommended)
You definitely need more liverocks.... at least 10kg more...

sometimes may take up to 24-48 hrs b4 all open up....give some time
Ya... it open up nicely now..

u can try CF too.. they have new zoas spotted yesterday... Cheers..
?? where is CF?

yeah duh....unless you're saying u're going to frag it underwater?
Nope, if fragging, will be out of water to avoid stirring the stabilise water.
Not sure if they are consider big enough to be frag... Any idea where to get cheap ceramic for the frag?

will be good if it's only staying in a smaller rock, then can easily take it out. last week i saw one crawling out of my super suns and spraying out some sort of mily substance(?), quite a lot. so i took out that piece, let it sit a while out of the water, then 3 came out (a 3-in, 2-in, and one 0.5-in) ... for now, i "quarantined" them first, still wondering whether to dispose of them or not ...
Milky substances..... trying to fertilise haha
Will try to monitor which rock they are in and try to remove them. Surprise 3pcs of worms in 1 rock...

I think the best to avoid any toxic is to remove the Yuma from the tank before fragging. (read this from some website)

tempt it out with dead shrimp into a open area or into a small bottle.
Wah... maybe will try to put some prawn in to tempt them & also to aid in the cycling process...

Hi, have you set up?
Anyway, for your information I have found 1ft T5 lighing in Aquamarine, think it is 16W. (Blue & white).
I have used surface skimmer before, very troublesome. Always have to monitor the water level.
Even worse if you have fans blowing, maybe every few hours the surface skimmer will be 'struggling'/ Good luck..

wow thats a huge worm! mine came with small small ones...
I think I saw 2 of those.... as of now + 1 crab....
Dunno how many more of those worms. hope to keep sexies...
-
just leave it.
if it dies, it will disintegrate and become part of the cycling process.
Leave it... okok...

Bro, this 24G Nano tank, what is the size?
1 half ft?
-
-
Non-photosynthetic soft corals (NPS). They will mostly die off during your cycle.
So how do I determine if they died off?
And should I remove them? Or leave it?
-
If you want sexies, make sure there're no hitch hiker crabs or worms. Otherwise, sexies will MIA 1-by-1. For 3 years, I didn't know I've a worm until I put my sexies in.
Oh, what types of worm you meant? those like centipede? I also saw the crab!!
I saw them crawling into holes in my liverock!! So I cant keep sexies??

I believe protein skimmer alone might not be enough. Surface skimmer is needed.
For your protein skimmer, you got to freq change the airstone.
FOWLR (Fish Only With Live Rock - is the easiest setup in my opinion)
No chiller needed, just freq water change)
If you intend to have coral (at least 2x Fan is needed for your tank size)
You can get them easily with low wattage (save electricity )
Yes, get more liverock... stack them up with hiding place for your livestock.
If possible, do not stack the liverock till touching the tank inner glass. (So in future, it is easier to clean the algae)
