  1. Sharing based on my experience, have a FOWLR tank for 3 ys+. Almost give up the hobby becos of uncontrollerable algae, cyano and diatom.

Read about FR, have doubt abt it, but since most people got good comments so I bought 1 and after using for 3 wks, the rock and sand bed is much cleaner. The cyano is disappearing slowly.

Now I am thinking of adding another FR for carbon :P

  2. I have 4 pygmy angels in my 2x1.5x1 ft tank. I think the tricks is to introduce them slowly. Put the new fish in a beta box for a week or so before releasing them to the main tank. Btw I often introduce fish very very slowly cos tank small and sudden increased of bioload will kill.

Hehe I am thinking of introducing another flame angel now

  3. bro the incident happen to me yesterday and all my fishes are murdered..

    :(

and i could not do anything til 9pm when i reach home to collect their dead shell..

    f**K man..

oni the small damsels manage to survive as it noes how to come to the surface and breathe..

all my bigger fishes are all murdered..

    damN

    Sorry to hear that :(

Regarding the power supply. Mayb can talk to the town council or the contractor-in-charge regarding this and ask them for a solution... <_< Normally they will think of solution to help.

  4. I have a 2x1x1.8 ft fowlr tank. As I tends to overfeed my fishes and have used tap water to mixed my sw, I have cyano and unwanted algae in my tank. Recently I have add a FR to my canister and a nanostream to increase circulation, the condition of cyano and unwanted algae have improved slightly. Manage to see some coralline growth after dosing with Jireh's additive A to E. Was thinking of upgrading my skimmer next. Btw I am using Weipro 2011 driven by a 1300l/h pump now.

Bros pls recommend me a skimmer(prefer a hangon type cos I have no sump), so I can put in consideration for my next upgrade. (Got to save for it :P )

    :thanks:

  5. Ya 12g cube really too small, at first i plan to get 2 ft tank but i scare i will regret again, so i might well go for 3 ft, 3ft size look really cool for me.

Yes go for the 3ft if you have space cos I am using a 2ft and you can't really add more LS. Every time I add a new fish, one of the old ones will die. ;)
