Erhm actually huh.. how I paired my flames (besides one larger and one smaller) was also to look at the end (or tip) of the fins just beside the tails. Female is rounded, male is pointed (but the thing is, sometimes its very very hard to differentiate)

I still have yet to see all green growth Santa... i see patches of purple etc etc.. and yellowish greenish ones.. although majority are dark green.. but its unlike wat I have seen in the feedbacks so far (thick nice green growth)

Santa, this is the 3rd time i will be cleaning the screen... the algae is blooming rapidly.. issit normal? they double the amount than previously in the same length of time, is tat a sign tat my nutrients is rapidly raising as well? Thanks in advance.

Hmm for me, i have only 1 skimmer.. on weeks I feed more Henry's food.. its light brown, F1 - brown F2- Greenish.. so I guess also depends on what your feeding menu is? effective or not.. i guess for me, it depends on how thick the skimmate is.. cos I do dry skimming.. my dad does wet skimming.. so his is more watery

com: funny you should sae tat.. last yr.. when i went to US for internship... when i came back it was like Xmas (only thing it was August) cos my tank was red green (algae) and white (overdose of baking soda)! My dad put in 2 scoops of baking soda every day!! Pellets hmm considered tat but some of the fishes prefer Henry's food haha

Hmm Santa, just a question... I have just cleaned the screen last wk to wipe off chucks My no3 is still 5ppm (there was a typo previously, not 0.5) and my po4 remains at 1ppm... is this normal? The algae growth seems to be larger this time.. could it be due to my feeding regime?

Hi all its been 1.5wks into my setting up (have not washed the scrubber) But i see growth of green and some purple algae on it.. about 0.5mm long... My feeding regime is 4x a day Henry's Food Pellet Pellet Mysis no3 to date is 0.5ppm and po4 1ppm (the colour seems lighter than the chart but heck, just put the higher one to be accurate) will post a pic for comments later (light is off now)

I see!! I get it.. so 60 is recommended cos its a in between? As in... focused but yet not to a point that it requires more LEDs to rid the spotlight effect?

Hmm can I assume that a small degree optics (15-30) will result in a more focus light beam? Am looking at 3W leds, but my depth is 3ft which is essentially around 36inches
