hmm..
now CalciumReef u r the first that told me i need 400w..
as alot told me 250 enough...
cause me 3 feet not only glass..
not where the rook and coral will be place..
at most the coral is place only 28 or less like 26 inches high only...

but this one is more expensive.. they r special breed but not very expensive lor..
me also got in my tank..
look out cause if the amount is more the nemo.. then they will surly bully nemo one.. hehehe just like my tank case...
and they bully nemo for almost 2 yrs then i fed up and add more nemo and now ok already..

well u see in your case.. u r using a 150..
then if u uses a the spider reflector.. then brightup even more..
think no matter what it's make your tank look nice and also your coral also benfit right..
reflector do make alot of diff..
well just to share share knowledge.. as technology improve so must marine tank.. lolz...

then once finish.. think I can go diy some intelligent hardware and write some program to control the device where everything is automatic... lolz..
cause me last time R&D in intelligent home.. "SMART Home" as what ppls call..

and also thinking of using spider reflector.. read it from the web and it's been say it help in alot of reflection and brighten up alot..
anyone got use.. can comment on how gd the spider reflector combare to normal MH light reflection. And worth the money or not as it cost $80

then can save money..
anyway any ppls out here know if a 150w MH can reach a 3 feet height tank or a 250 is better..

well look at it at least it's a 3 feet like tank still ok lor..
then I'm going to make a nice high cliff... hehehehe
anyway Dr evil got pm me telling me he can diy the MH lighting for me. but looking at your recommended website for MH lighting think the pricing for the MH like he going to help me get seem abit ex leh.. nvm will talk to him once I confirm...

for me, I'm using kent ph and kh buffer...
i do every once a week. Just add the required amount into a bottle of 500ml shake well and pour it into the tank..
so far fine for me and work ok... and me using this method for 2 yrs

check on the weipo skimmer they have, the price still ok lor..
I also go walk down to another fish shop at Clementi 328, the one near the coffee shop, the stuff they selling also not cheap leh..

I dont think by the time I stock up the hight for my coral wont be 3 feet even thought I uses 3 feet hight.
It would would be about 28 inches high only.
Also I will be placing the MH not more then 3 inches from the surface of my water.
Lastly with MH lighting how long can the photo period be? I usually on for about 7 hrs.

I'm thinking of converting to MH lighting. As I will setting a new 2 feet by 2 feet by 3 feet hight cube tank.
Where can I purchase gd cheap MH and how much will it cost.
Lastly for the bulb for the MH, how long can it be use be I required to replace it? And how much is the bulb.

i think the reason why I never encounter any problem is because I never add much into my tank. I just pour 1/4 or 1/2 the tea spoon into a 500ml and shake and then pour every last bit into the sump.
which is amount of vol compare to my tank vol is way off... that's why it does not affect me..

For my case, I add 1/4 teaspoon into a 500ml of water and then shake well and pour it into my sump where there is high water flow.
So far never encounter any problem. You can give my method a try.
One things, my kh and ph buffer r in good condition. Maybe that explain why.

hmm.. if I work in server room... I think my tank will be the lowest with around 16 degree or less... lolz...
too bad server room can't bring in food or water...

maybe me want to use the extra space in the cabinet as a dinning table..
u know u can study, eat or do whatever with the extra space at the cabinnet as a table... then like that really enjoy the view..
