ya. btw, i realise 1 thing while searching for a skimmer on the web. take for example, deltec, H&S, skimz skimmers tt r suitable for <1000L, the thing they hav in common is the Aquabee 2000/1 pump and probably the skimmer body design jus of different dimensions of ~100mm. the differences r the price and logo. if so, i can simply get a cheapo skimmer and change the pump to Aquabee? workable? haha.

is it advisable to clean the sandbed once in a while? normal sandbed not DSB. 1-2cm. clean as in suck out the sand, dn stir in a basin or pail of tank water.

imo, as mention above, the water outlet cannot be in the last compartment due to micro bubbles prob, so i use a reverse method (ie water taken in frm last compartment comes out in 1st compartment.) tis the best i can tink of, another other methods out dere?

its actually 1 of my choice, however i can only go for the SM110 due to space prob and SM110 is not power enuf for my tank. so lookin ard for other choices. anybody has any opinion about hydor performer skimmer to share? any LFS carry this brand's skimmer?

Went to Schuran web, frm the pics, mainly not recirculating ones and in-sump kind which i cannot use as mentioned above tt my water level varies. actually, deres another kind of wheel called the threadwheel tt ATI uses. seems to produce finer bubble, however frm the net, ATI skimmer cannot tune the air and water level. is tt true? another thing is u mention cone are used to enhance the skimming, dn y r dere ppl saying those skimmer tt has a cone inside the collection cup not efficient? any diff in coning the body and the collection cup?

actually, can i ask wad exactly determine the efficiency of a skimmer? how u deem a skimmer good? u look at the circulation pump rite? as to how much is the air intake? and its power consumption? cos apparently, the different brands of skimmers their design looks the same, in the case of recirculating type, the only difference i find is the pump.

does any1 noes where got schooling fishes in stock? chromis? btw, wad kind of schooling fishes r best to be kept in ur opinion?

i hav 4 polyp frags of this yuma, polyp size of 50 cent coin. 1 polyp/mini rock. ie, i attach 1 polyp to 1 mini rock, so gt 4 seperate mini rock. (foto is of mother colony, cant bring the pinkish tip out.) lookin to trade with some zoa frags. thx.

how do u saw? i find it abit difficult to saw thru as its so damn hard to find a space in between the polyps in those big colonies. i find that rock bonder abit hard to use when the frag doesnt have any rock, for example those zoos frag by the "matting out method". but its the cheapest and longest shelf-life epoxy i find. wondering r dere any glue tt is lik superglue or silicone but only hardens when in contact with water. so can keep long long and easy to use.
