That bioload looks more like for a 12ft tank. Do keep in mind that fishes will grow & bioloads will increase as a result. Will your liverock be able to cope with such increases in bioload? You also need to keep dissolved oxygen levels in mind, the dissolved oxygen levels in seawater are far below that of freshwater. If you put more liverock, you are effectively reducing your total water volume, meaning the more rock you add, the more your fish is being cramped in water. This can be disastrous if you have many fish. Dissolved oxygen levels might not be able to be sustained in limited water volume. Do note that nitrifying bacteria use up oxygen as well, not only the fish.
I would recommend that you lower the fishload by at least 50% to take their growth into account. Also remove the trigger as it will likely end up pestering your tank mates. Use a skimmer with a high turnover rate, beckett skimmers are well-known for this. If it is a fish-only tank, run it at half saltwater strength, 1.010-1.012, to reduce your risk with pathogens and also to increase dissolved oxygen levels. Get a dissolved oxygen meter. Levels of D.O should be between 6-8ppm. If dissolved oxygen levels drop below that, you are overstocking. Run a good UV unit to safeguard your fish against parasites.
If you can, invest in a chiller. It will lower the metabolism of your fishes and wastes will take longer to break down, giving your protein skimmer more time to extract the wastes. Overall your water quality will improve as a result.
Wow, thnks so much for the adv bro. Is there other vway beside reducing the fishes in the tank? I'm running on chiller with temp at 26.
Will it help if I remove the live rocks let say by 50%?

For the tank size, must be very nice to see all yr fishes swimming around. For your angels and tangs, as long they live in harmony with ocassional chasing, it should be fine. For your wrasse, u better have your tank top covered incase they got stress and start flying and die of suffocation....lol. Think you got fish poison like me....maybe can pay you a visit to see your fishes. : )
LOL....yup! Wish could have a giant tank to collect all the angels !!!
-
think u might have forget on some angels and tangs....especially those u mentioned....high chance they can't survive unless you remove your existing tangs and angels....for bandit...even if introduce as first fish, you must get it feeding before can talking about survival.....
The fishes seems to get along well and its feeding too. These fishes has been in the tank for 6 mnths already. I'm thinking putting few more angels but afraid of becoming too over crowded
-
What are your tank parameters like? Other than bioload, you also should consider the amount of swimming space your fishes have. More fish=less swimming space=more stress.
I personally think you have more than enough fish in your 6 footer. I would keep even lesser fish. But tt's just me.
With your sohal and 2 xl purple tangs, I would forget about adding anymore fishes. As good as $ down the drain and murduring precious lifestock.
Thanks for the adv Bro!

Yes bro, you can provided the new king is bigger than the existing one. I used to have a 7 x 3 x 2.5ft b4 i shift house, hosuing 4 king, 4 queen. Sizing is crucial. Normally the chasing will end after they chase from one corner to the middle of the tank.
Thanks bro....

Hi ...I have a small king angel ( 2.5" ) in my tank for about 3 months already. Is it possible to add more kings in my tank???
My tank size 7x2.5x2.5.
Really appreciate if any bro can adv me on this. Thanks

Routine WC. This is not a very serious issue.
Thanks
-
Is ok to have more. Ideal is 1 - 2". Take your time to pick when they are mixed with other fishes. It will peek on the body too.
Thanks bro. Do I need to do major WC?

Pic of the banner
http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/butterfly...whiteheniochus/
Oh ok. Thanks a lot bro. Can I put more than 1? If cant't find that size, can I go for biggers size ones ? maybe M?
-
The faster way is to go and get a banner. between 1 - 2". It will solve your problem. Else like Bigbird said wait and it will disappear by themselves.
What is Banner?

fungus in marine environment is very very rare. s for lypo, just maintain ur water quality , they will recover by themselves. as long as it did not affect the mouth which will in turn affect their eating, they will be fine.
Will do major WC. But by how many % bro? How long usually will recover by themselves?
Thanks
-
Only way is to remove the rocks.
Will try to do it. Thanks bro

Go to pharmacy like Guardian, ask for hydrogen peroxide. It will come in pre-diluted form of 3%.
Dosage is 2ml per liter of seawater. Bath your fish in this for not more than 30 mins with aeration. Observe the fish carefully and remove it early if it does not seem to tolerate it well. Wait a few days and repeat if the fungus has not completely been eradicated.
Can I mix it in the main tank? Cause I could not/ don't know how to remove the fish unless I remove all of the rocks. It's too much work bro. Any adv?

From your description, to me it sound like your fish have Lymphocystis aka stress related disease, no medication is needed and useless. Fishes infected with lymphocytis is usually cause by stress due to harassment by aggressive tank mate or water quality. Not to worry they will go off in a few weeks time as long as you leave it alone. Is the pic similar to your case
Yes..yes..yes bro Bigbird. That is it. But mine is growing more and more amd is starting to spread on my other 2 angels.
It's been 3 weeks since it was infected. ( Actually the infection started from the new live stock that I added to my tank 3 weeks ago)
Or should I do a major water change? ( How many % )
Pls adv bro Bigbird.
-
Are your fish being stressed out by high temperatures? its been really hot the last few weeks.
Not at all bro. Water temp 25-26 c

You can try Myxazin.
Suppose to be reef safe.
My shrimp is not affected, but corals are.
Well, you decide if you want to save the fish or corals.....
Tablet or the liquid Myxazin is more effective?
Should do it for how many days?
-
U can try this link, i find it quite useful.
Thanks bro...will look into it

Hi Bro
There are many reefers in this forum very helpful. If you could list down the tank size and current live stocks you have in it, it will be easier for others to advice.
A picture will definite speaks a thousand words.
Here's my 2 cents:
Get ready salt-water for water change (20 - 30%). Of cos it depends on what live stocks you have currently
Try to identify the root of the cause if possible. Like due to adding new live stock...etc.
Thanks for the advice bro. Will try to do WC
-
bro, can post some pics so u can be advised correctly
So sorry bro, I just can't get the pic of it. It kept hiding in the rocks. But it is white, cotton like. Could it be cured by itself? or Do I have to remove everything from the tank to get it out?
-
Hi, anybody kind enough to give some advice in removing or cure my angelfish with fungus? It is spreading fast...almost whole body covered. And it is spreading to 3 other angels too. What should I do? I can't remove the infected fish unless I remove all the rock from my aquarium. Can somebody pls..pls give me adv.
