  1. Hi Huiwen, The Eheims' are not pressured pump, I am afraid you can't use the Eheim pump for the beckett skimmer, you heed at least MD 40 for the 24" and MD 55 for the 32". The Eheim 1262 can support Mazzei version. Cheers! Chipson1
  2. Stay tune, I will try to post the skimmer in action once they forward me the photo. I have posted my skimmer in action in other thread, try here http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...pic=17030&st=15 Cheers, Chipson1

  4. thc, Thanks for the info, but I diy my own gaskets to the flange specifications.
  5. Hi AT, There is a specific way of incorperating the gasket, all ETS skimmers use gaskets. My beckett is running without any problem. If I have to groved the flange, additional cost will be incurred. Cheers! Chipson1
  6. Do you mean gate valve? I don't use ball valve on the skimmer, gate valve can be found in the bulk ordering forum. Cheers! Chipson1
  7. If the response is good, I don't mind to go into freelance DIY for you guys. Only if our big boss approves. Anyway thanks, Cheers! Chipson1

  12. The Mazzei Version, attached picture.
  13. I have made another 24" Beckett skimmer with possible future extension to 32" or even 48" in case the tank population increase, this skimmer also inter-changeable with 684 Mazzei injector. Here is the first picture.
  14. In fact they are both as good, but it seems the recent trend in Singapore is moe for beckett. I think in the long run, Mazzei will save quite a fair bit on the electric bill. Chipson1

    Eheim 1262

The eheim pumps are not pressured pump, if your return line is long, it's better to use 25mm to advoid back-pressure. Cheers! Chipson1

  18. Thank you for all your PM, the ETS gemini 800 sold.
  19. Depends on what type of joints, I use difference type of connector for difference joint. The Pict you shown is good for joint that do not need frequent dismantling, you can use teffon tap or rubber seals to prevent leakage when using the male and female connector. I would reccomand to use union if the joints require frequent dismantling. Chipson1

  21. Hi DesMond, The end cap is for the first time siponing, you need to fill the entire pipe with water for the very first time, make sure the ball valve is closed (end cap closed if no ball valve installed) the vertical pipe is to facilitate the suction from the main tank. Once the water is filled, before turn on the ball valve below (or release of the end cap, if no ball valve installed) put the end cap back to the vertical pipe tightly, then open the ball valve and the water will be gushing down. When the return pump stop, water will still be trap in the U pipe as long as the vertical pipe is sealed with the end cap, restart the return pump and circulation resume. If you have ever used a overflow box before, you will then appreciate this vertical pipe, its so handyly postioned and no need the insertion of silicon tube to suck the water and air out of the pipe. Cheers! Chipson1
