  4. I see you have a swimming pool in your house lol Nice tank btw bro
  5. Hello all! I started by reef journey 8 years ago with a 2 feet nano tank. Have since stopped the hobby due to work commitments but now, i'm keen to restart again, this time with a proper setup. Since my home only has space for a 3 feet tank, let's just go with that. I'm looking for a good setup with LED lights, Skimmer, Chiller, Sump etc. Planning to keep LPS and maybe SPS someday. Would not mind paying for better quality hardware and wanna keep maintenance as low as possible. Better still if the hardware can integrate to mobile app. Any suggestions and budget to set aside?
  6. GO - Golden Octopus AC - Aquarist Chamber
  7. Actually I get my livestocks from several locations. For corals I normally buy them from GO or AC.
  8. Thanks bunster bro. Tho it's costly but they are easier to maintain than some corals. I haven't had much luck with chalice and acans.
  9. thanks. Sorry the photos came out so terrible cos of the lighting. Iphone 6 camera isnt very suited for taking aquarium pix...
  10. very nice coral garden. I'm using maxspec razor too and find it hard to get such colors in my photos. It always comes out too bluish and purplish...
  11. Cool! Where did you get the polyp lab from? PM me
  12. Sharing my 'superman' scolymia australis (left) and 'bleeding apple' scolymia australis (right). Quite low maintenance coral. Daily feed of phytoplankton. Beware if you have fire shrimps/cleaner shrimps as they might damage the soft tissues.
  13. I draw the curtains down so the room is dark. Windows are close as well. Guess it really depends which direction you place your tank. There are some corners of the house where the temperature is lower.
  14. have u bought the anthias? They are delicate fishes that require lots of swimming spaces and feeding too. I haven't had much luck with them.
  15. I love basic setups, so is mine. Would like to find out, how does the Prizm skimmer performs? I'm using the RIO HOB skimmer. Wouldnt say it is the best but it serves my 2ft tank pretty well. It breaks down once in a while when i don't clean it for a few weeks after heavy feeding. I may need to upgrade my filter, so may consider getting an ecco series. Where do you place your filter and chiller? Any photos to share?
  16. I've been using RIO nanoskimmer. It does skims out some filth but u need to maintain it once a month for heavy-fed tank. Otherwise it will lose its efficiency.
  17. Yes, Sealife sells fish and corals. They normally get philippines/bali shipment, and sometimes shipments from Maldives and Hawaii.
  18. Neon gobies also available at ah beng. Left 2 this morning. Going fast.
  19. Could be cos of the high temperature? Your parameters seems ok tho not ideal but it shouldn't melt your corals. Anyway the mandarin may be starved to death as your tank is newly setup with no Copepods. I don't keep them in my tank now as I feel such fish should be left in the sea or very well established tank with lotsa pods.
