    To isolate the problem, try:

    1.  Reinstalling OS (eg. Windows XP).  Just the OS at this point.  Do not install any other software first.

    2.  Get your Internet Explorer and internet connection going.  (If you know how, adding a router can help to minimise external attacks.)

    3.  Ensure you do your Windows Update and download all critical hotfixes.

    4.  Install Microsoft AntiSpyware beta1 (as advised by weileong above).

    5.  Install your favourite anti-virus software.

    Test run your system for a reaonable period.

    If you're still having problems, it might well be your hardware that's giving problems.

    why not see whether u can borrow a notebook and setup running at your home for couples of hours before take the other approach.

    if your broadband number is also tapping to other phone line, u may want to change the POST filter as faulty POST filter running on same line with the phone will cause problem to Broadband running concurrently

    Eh bro, not my new skimmer yet. This skimmer i am doing bro Tyrobin a favour by running it in my tank and to test its efficiency. Bro Tyrobin does not have a tank at home currently so need to test at my place loh.

    Will decide whether to buy his skimmer or get a beckett. It all depends on this mazzei skimmer now. If its better then the beckett, then i will take this skimmer if not i will still stick to running a beckett.

    i c. hope to see your post result on the test skimmer.

    maybe feed more food to your fish mah. to see better result mah :evil:
