  1. Hi all ... finally made the decision to give up the hobby again. Started a few months ago.

Thought I could managed it but unfortunately I couldn't. Will be busy again with lots of

overseas commitment and am pretty sure it's gonna be near impossible to maintain the

reef tank (already kinda in a neglected stage).

Take all for S$250 ..... no separate sales please. Need to clear by 15th April latest (preferably this friday)

    1. Old Hailea HC-150A - little noisy when kicks in but a workhorse (does its job)

    2. Hailea HS-28A - used it for 6 months prior to my reefing restart - good condition (standby chiller)

    3. Jebao RW-4 wavemaker - tested only once .... practically brand new

    4. Some brand new ATI 2ft bulbs (will list type later) ... few old but usable e-ballast

    5. Few corals ... Pocci , Pavona , Yuma/Ricordea/Mushroom , Gonio , Blasto - still alive just not vibrant anymore

    6. Live rocks - not sure about total weight

Will upload pics later in the day when lights are on ,,,

    Whatsapp - 91135225

  2. Have a W80cm x D60cm x H38cm tank with cabinet w sump, if you don't mind the odd size.

Willing to give it away for free (collect everything by Wed, 25/10 during the day - going overseas on 26th

    for a month).

Tank is still running with live rocks that are partially covered with coralline algae with 2 A Clarkii and a

juvenile Emperor Angel. Tank base is covered with coralline algae too.

    WhatsApp 91135225 if interested

  3. hi bros,

Anyone willing to teach me how to trap my six line wrasse please.

    Many thanks

Yup ... follow straydum's bottle method (cheap n works). Managed to trap practically all the fishes I set out to trap/remove(or have seen all including my six line wrasse going into the bottle and finding their way out after some figuring). But i left it in the tank for a couple of days to let them get use to it or alternatively don't feed them prior to setting your trap.

  4. Hi ... any reefers out there ever used or is currently using an overflow box. Appreciate all your

kind feedbacks and its pros & cons. See attached image (something similar). :thanks:

Apologies for posting onto the "pasar malam" section, real goondu, paiseh ah ..... newbie to the forum.

  5. lol no lah guys. Just a silly thought.

Will at most get a 24 x15 inch x 18 inch tank so that I can reuse my existing eqpt.

    gallons should not exceed 25.

Aiyoh !!! not enuf trust me. Like they say in hokkien "Buay Kau Sng" u knw. Go for the 3ft lah.

  6. LCK is at Lim Chu Kang , 201 Neo Tiew Crescent. Look out for the 201 unit. Currently, not much fishes. Will have to wait till weekend or next week. Suppose to have Brazil shipment but flight had problem. Next 2 weeks will be very interesting. :eyebrow:

You can also go to CF = Coral farm. They are quite near. Might sound too far for you. Hehehe......

Haha ... wrong orsony, no playground is too far for me !!! :eyebrow:

  7. Hi dtan2011

Thanks for reading my tank thread... 80 pages... my goodness lol.

I have problem tracing my own post too.

IMHO, I think softies and clams are ok.

The 110 W is more than capable of supporting these.

For SPS, I doubt that 110W is sufficient for certain species.

Montis, digitas are ok but the more light intensive ones will prob require 160W and above.

I cannot comment on that because I have not used these.

I hope this help. If you have any further question, please feel free to shoot over.

    cheers and happy reefing.

Tks ... by the way any tips on buying stuff(reefing related) from HK(goldfish market) ... going up there 18th to 21st.

  8. yumas lah friend.

Hi Jacky, been meaning to ask you on your opinion with rgds to the maxspect LED you've been using these couple of months. Actually been following your post up till 70+ 80(i think) ... appreciate some feedback and hopefully maybe jump on the bandwagon as well ...haha. Currently using T5s and keeping mainly softies with a tridacna blue. Really tempted to try my hands on sps in the near future maybe my next tank upgrade. Or if you'd alrdy done so appreciate if u can point me to the post. Tks

  9. Looking to buy a Mandarin Goby which is already trained to eat frozen food or flakes/pellets. I really want one of these fish but my tank is only a few months old and I know I don't have an adequate copepod population. The guy who runs Golden Octopus has two huge Mandarins trained to eat frozen shrimp! Anyone with a trained fishee they are willing to part with?

Guess the trick is to hold them in a separate "hang-on" holding container in the main tank itself and do all your "training"

from there rather than to release them immediately into the main tank and be left to their own devices. Being as slow as they are .... gonna lose out on competition for food(should you have other faster and more buaya fishes !!!!).

Currently, holding mine in a holding container and will release them once I am pretty sure I have a good population of pods.

My only worry is after having a taste of pods, they might not like those frozen food anymore (hmmm.. back to square one then).
