The Hydrophobicity would be in constant change to reach a state of equilibrium.
Just after one day I observe two distinctive negative effects of Dry skimming in my tank. The fast effects could be due to my small tank volume.
1. Sand bed not as clean
2. Polyps do not extend as long as before.
So its back to wet skimming for me.

Current plan is to wet skim to remove most organics.
Then follow the FM Ultralith Regime. Dose beneficial organics, vitamins and AA, as I dose the trace elements, Bacterial source and Bacterial Fuel.
During that period of time, skimmer will be off for 2 hours. It will be like a stimulation of current bringing in a tide of 'nutrient' (excluding PO4 and NO3) rich water.
