  1. Hey guys, decided to go full sps hence will be selling this zoa garden i intended to start initially. I believe they will thrive better in a nutrient rich tank compared to mine. Caribsea arch rock with 20+ different zoa frags, still plenty of room for more if you like to add on. I do not know all the names, but they are a mix of everything from common to rare. Also the rock comes with 2 leather corals and one red monti. One of them is a neon green tenticle leather coral, the other is from aussie. Selling the whole thing for $250. Zoas alone easily cost me more then that. The entire scape is free from any kinds of algae. Please see the general dimensions of caribsea arch rock for sizing. Kindly bring along a pail for collection. Whatsapp 9zero020five85
  2. Resupply arrived! The only coral dip I trust! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for the info. I reckon that may be a possibility as well. It died even though it was eating well. My other borbonius is still doing well in qt. Happy to report that hyposalinity starting to show some improvements in the overall well being of the fishes. The powder brown has been spotless for the last few days. Added in a 2 new fishes, one powder blue and a new flame angel. I understand that during the QT process, you shouldnt be adding new fishes. That said, I am only starting the one month of QT count down from the day i last spot any ich. So these new additions together with the others should be starting the one month countdown any day soon. Ideally, im looking to get just one yellow coris and one 6 line or malenurus wrasse to complete the "anti-pest" gang. Then that should be all for the fish list.
  4. Tank updates: The main tank is doing great.CA and Alk is stable at 420 and 8.0 with the Cr at 6.6ph. Probably my best investment for the tank. Fishless for about 1 month now. The great thing about going fishless is that I hardly ever clean the glass now. Also, trying out zeovit's coral system 1,2,3,4. Some photos with my Tg6. I'm still learning how to use it. And some photos of the display. Tank is pretty much full. QT tank Salinity at 1.009. Lost my flame angel to some fungus infection, tried to medicate with prazipro and general cure, but didnt survive. Honestly quite annoyed with all these diseases. Current survivors: 2 clowns, 1 powder brown, 1 yellow tang, 1 borbonius anthias. 1 flame hawk. Most of them hiding within the rocks.
  5. Ups! Nyos supplements still avail. NYOS Balling CA,ALK,MG. CA left 1500g, Alk left 3600g, MG left 1500g My own mixing method is CA 2500g/5L, ALK 400g/5l, MG 2500g/5L. Will give free 5L mixing container, but do note, the cap is not 100% sealed, only realise this on mixing, but good to use for storage of mixed solutions. $60 for all 3. 1 bottle retails for $75
  6. Back from my overseas holiday. Came back and saw that i lost 2 fishes while i was away. 1 Borbonius anthias and the yellow coris didn't make it. Not sure why, as both were eating well before i left. Tank salinity is still at 1.009, all the fishes do not have signs of ich, except for my powder brown tang. Gonna continue the treatment, hopefully i dont lose anymore fishes in the process. If all else fails, will raise the salinity back, and do a copper treatment. Else, the main display tank is doing well, seeing some amazing polyp extension i didnt get before. Didn't lose any corals =D
  7. Nah, usually just window shopping when i'm overseas. Off to Bali for a couple days break! Have a great week reefing guys.

  9. Dropped by a local fish store today in Tokyo. Thought I share some pics and some of the Japanese dry goods that we don’t get to see here in sg. The store is called Paupau aqua garden Ginza. It’s located at the Ginza district about 4 stops from shinagawa on train. Very close to the tsukiji fish market. Coming in you are greeted by a the largest freshwater plant selection I’ve seen. Premium plants from ada as well. This store caters more to the freshwater enthusiast. The marine selection is much smaller. But was surprised to see a helfrichi firefish, retails for about $385 sgd. Coming up the the second floor is where most of the dry goods are. You will be greeted by this cylindrical clown fish harem tank And here are the dry good selections, focusing more on what we don’t see here. And of cos not forgetting our freshwater friends. A wide selection of ada accessories and Japanese products. And spotted some really cool nano sized chillers! Check out this really small pico tank As mentioned the store carries a lot of local Brands and focus largely on the freshwater hobbies. Still a really nice place to check out and to see what Japanese reefers use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I faced the same problem too. I used fluxRX, which is basically Fluconazole as well. Heres some before and after pic. Took about a week to see them disappear. As mentioned, its reef safe. Didn't suffer any casualties.
  11. Besides the one i had previously that jumped, this my second time. So fingers crossed =/ Thanks guys. I'm away alot, so its harder for me to monitor the fishes with copper treatment. Also, I'm keen to try hypo and see the results, its easier on the fish, although its not as effective as copper. If it doesn't work out, might end up doing a copper treatment. Have you had experience with copper treatment? Would like to learn more about it. My nano was 2ft, overall volume was around 25 gallons. I had only a few fishes in there. Eventually i got a 4ft, but the fish jumped before the tank was fully cycled. This was the first blotchy
  12. All items sold. Thanks for the interest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Updates on the fish QT. Finally brought the SG down to 1.009. Took me about a week to do this, from what i read, you only need 48hrs to drop the salinity without ill effects, but i didn't want to take my chances, as I need my two newer additions to be feeding confidently. Ich spots are still obvious on my Powder brown tang. My understanding is that the salinity only kills the free swimming stage of ich. Will have to wait for the adults to drop off, before the official one month of qt begins. Do correct me if i'm wrong. Got myself two borbonius anthias. Both took about 1 week before feeding on pellets. Now they take mostly just pellets, i supplement with only 1 frozen cube of mysis. I just hope anthias do well in hyposalinity QT, this is my first time trying. These borbonius / blotchy anthias have always been my favourite fish. I waited about 4 mths before finally seeing one on the market. Most of the farms told me they only come in seasonally. Usually end of the year. Managed to snag two when I saw them. My very first borbonius was many years back, sadly it jumped out of the nano tank i had. The QT tank is fed by two autofeeders, broken up into 8 separate feedings, all in small portions. Heres a video of my newer additions. IMG_0820.mp4

  17. Hi bro, I cant really tell actually, i set and forget. But it keeps the ph at 6.6 with the solenoid running constantly. Its slightly more then 1 bubble/sec. Its a green slimmer bro.
  18. Wow impressive 3D printing! Any chance you will make a MP10 version?
  19. Probably should do some justice to the corals. These are taken under blue light with orange filter lens. The left side is mainly LPS. Trying to create a zoa garden, most of the zoas i have no clue on the ID, just bought a variety over the past few months. The Mini toadstool on the left isn't doing well though, I may have to shift its position.
  20. So I finally got about tidying up the fish tank area! Here is a full tank shot! The lights are currently set up, 2 with diffuser, and 2 without. Reason for this is to try and cater for a mix reef. The right side is dominated by sps. Refugium lights are orangy cos of the DD coral lens i used for my iphone. The Right chiller is my standby chiller controlled by the apex if temperature passes 26 degrees. Pic of the refugium The Geo CR. Really pleased that i switched to CR. My alk is at a constant 8.0 (Hanna checker), CA 420 (Nyos) for the last whole week. Running at 5ml/min, PH of 6.6 and on continuous dose. The PH of the main tank peaks at 8.23, and drops to 7.97 lowest in the night. Exactly where I want both the PH and the ALK to be at. Guess the dual chamber reactor really does help with PH. The CR corner Still a work in progress, but if i close up the door, its out of sight. Just a quick question. Anyone ran their reef tank without fishes? Do you "ghost" feed the tank? My fishes are currently undergoing QT. Will be leaving this tank fish-less for the next 3 months. Any advise?
  21. Hailea chillers generally worked well for me. Have not used it past 2 year mark though. But while i had it, i didn't have any issues. Would recommend the HS28a if you getting. Its quieter.
  22. Started my Fish QT today on the main tank. Will be doing a hypo-salinity treatment to get rid of the ich. Removed most of the sand, and left a tub of sand for the wrasse. All the corals and inverts have been removed. Dropping the salinity very slowly with a drip system. Ideally will want to reach 1.009. Don't mine the messy cabinet, haven't had time to clean it up with all the move. Bucket on the left is the ATO system, Bucket on the right is the gravity fed drip system.
  23. Thanks bro, I find it still abit messy, but I dont have a back room to hide everything. The Kamoer fx-stp on first application/run, you may find the noise to be audible. As in you can clearly hear it. After it runs in for a while at that current pre-set, the noise drops substantially, to the point it is inaudible unless you sleep directly beside it. That being said, my current pre-set is 5ml/min (about 3 drops a sec). As you run at higher rates, the noise may be louder. But frankly, I feel you can barely hear the noise when its running. If anything, your other equipment may be louder. My main concern with using the Kamoer fx-stp is the durability. With it running 24/7 every day, I'm not sure how it will hold up over time. But it being labeled a "continuous dosing pump", I hope it will last me at least a year onwards. Because the CR has no other back ups available, it this fails. I do run a pull system on the CR. So if the Kamoer fx-stp fails, the CR fails too. This shouldn't be an issue if you can observe on a daily basic, but i don't share such luxuries due to work commitments. Only other option i see is running a dual line output with a RO split connection, with manual drip. But as always the manual drip clogs will be the bigger issue.
