T5 lighting that comes with length from 1 foot onwards. Quite handy for small scrubber box.. wonder it is useful. ? Might consider using a screen of 12 " x 5 " to acheive an area of 60" Sq. lighting will be T5 - 1 foot length x 2 each side of 8 watt. refer attached. will it works SM?

Hi Santa Btw, I had do some calculation. Refer below and do give me some advices before i proceed with my DIY. Tank Size: 24 " x 24 " x 24 " ( 60 cm cube ) Sump: 24" x 24" x 15" ( NO Live stock so i not adding the capacity as per your forum) Total tank capacity: 216 litres. = 57.05 US Gal. based on 58 US gal. = 58 Sq inch I am deciding on a screen of 12" wide x 5 " height to acheive 60Sq inch. ( lit on both sides ) IF cannot find 1 ft T5 light fixture, May change to 24" x 2.5" / 3 " height Screen to acheive 60Sq inch to 72. ( lit on both sides ) i will be doing a black box to accumulate the screen. the box walls will be ONE inch away from the screen for all FOUR sides to acheive optimum power of light. ( using T5 HO(6500K)tubes x 1 on each side ) Any wattage requirement on the the lighting? I saw 1 T5 HO(6500K) 1 feet tube only consume 8 watt.

Hi scrubber pros, Does the tank temp play a part in the success of the scrubber? My current temp is 32.9 degree. FOWLR tank. Understand that previously my cheatos melt in my sump after i do away with chiller as no more keeping corals. Now NO3 and PO4 ia quite high but fish are ok just that alot of algae... Pls advice. thanks
