Sigh... I do not know any experienced reefer here or in my social circle. It's very much like stabbing in the dark. The next best alternative is to find a LFS that is willing to give advise but I must say that their motivation is only to sell products. Not all of them but some of them... Not blaming anyone but myself for jumping into it without proper research. Wasted a couple of thousands.....pain. In any case, I will persevere.... Wish me luck

Hi all Kenna infected this disease from a visit to marine LFS recently. Spend and wasted a bomb... but feeling darn good about it Few doubts, hoping the experts here can shed some light 1) What is the correct salinity I should be gunning for? Currently I am on 1.018 I heard people advise me from 1.017 all the way to 1.025 ( I have few fishes but tonnes of live rocks and corals that I dun even recognise) 2) How do I make sure the water I used are safe? I bought a filter from Jireh Marine for $125 that the auntie claims to be able to filter chlorine metals and all other inpurities. Does the filter work that well? If it doesn't can I get a refund from auntie and what other alternatives do I have? 3) I bought reefmax from Jireh Part A to Part F (whole series). Is reefmax that good cos I cant seem to find any review on it? If not, what alternatives should I get? 4) Presently I only got 1 test kit for Phosphate. Any other test kit should I buy? Which brand is better? 5) How to tell if the coral had died? I have 1 coral now which is lime green in colour initially but now 1 patch is turning to white (as in colour of dead coral) 6) How do I feed my corals? The label on the can ask me to off my filter for 1 to 2 hours to feed the corals. I bought many cans of refrigerated food (from Jireh) but I am sure there is a better way of feeding them. 7) Are the refrigerated canned food from Jireh of quality?
