  1. Tight space?..u mean the last compartment of the ios?
Imho, no matter one pump or 2 pump, if the tube break loose, it will still flood leh haha..so hows running separate pumps can eliminate the tube break loose? Heez

Haha, maybe I'm thinking too much of worst case scenario before I even work on it.

  2. I think it's a good idea. Let me know if u manage to do it.

My concern is the tube routing in the tight space; the tube may break loose at the return point if I didnt do a good job and flood my floor. Hence your way of running separate pumps interest me. :)
  3. I'm using this for my return pump, http://www.sicce.com/prodottiDettaglio_eng.php/prodotto=syncra-nano-wet-dry-140-430-lh/idprodotto=97
And for chiller pump I'm using this http://www.sicce.com/prodottiDettaglio_eng.php/prodotto=micra/idprodotto=37
I think its about $23 from FnM. I like this brand actually. Haven't tried other brands so I'm not sure about it.
You should buy a spare pump and keep it in case anything happens.  Thats what happen to my stock pump and luckily I had the Sicce.

    Both pumps in last chamber?
  4. I have been reefing for 2 years and recently started a Nuvo 10g tank again. My previous tank is a Fluval 46l but the small access is too restrictive. Have been searching for the laziest and easiest water maintenance method. And finally found it. It is Polymer. It looks almost like the normal filter wool but it is a polymer instead. I found out accidentally. I went to a LFS and struck up the usual "why your tanks are always so perfect?" conversation. And the owners told me it is polymer. I tried it and OMGosh the water became crystal clear and the inhabitants love it. This is not a viral marketing post. Just google Polymer Bio Marine and you can read about it. I am sure there are a hundred ways to have good water quality but this is the lazy man way.

And for newly cycled tank, I think it is a wonderful technology. Just my 2 cents opinion.

Which LFS? I also want to see its tank.
  5. So far yet to disturb my sps, zoas, clam or bubble corals in mine but can't guarantee for others.

Purely bought it to clear aiptasia as recommended by lfs back then. As I don't get to see any aiptasia now, not sure what it's surviving on currently. So just catch it and see who wants it now. Think it is the easiest fish I ever caught in my tank.
