Why would it refuse to come down to 7 if you re using a screwdriver to tune it to 7???? I dun understand???

I was using Hanna test pen for the last 1 year without any problem, but recently when I tried to calibrate it with ph 7 solution, it just refused to come down to 7. Have since stopped using it. Can anyone help?

My Mandarin do take frozen brine shrimp, but it is always too slow to get to the food. IMO, even you intend to keep only 2 other fishes, they will still out-compete the mandarin for food, unless you fed abundantly, which may create other problems. If you really can't part with mandarin, you can target feed them but that's very siong, consider you have to do that everyday.

I don't think cleaner warsse helps. Sounds like your tang is in a critical condition. IMO, it may not survice. Fresh water dip is effective provided your fish can take further stress. Why not transfer it to a hospital tank with medication. Good luck.

cos i find that #01 sand can slip through the screen.

What I did was after the first layer of screen, I lay the second layer with a 1" filter floss. It worked well with no.1 sand, but now i'm beginning to worry the effectiveness of it.(imagine how much air will be trapped inside the filter floss.) Can someone pls comment?

Sounds like a good idea. IMO, sunlight is the natural light source for our reefs, I don't see what's wrong with that, juat that your water quality must be good, if not, algae may be a problem.
